There is majesty in simplicity. This ultra short-and-simple text is written in a simplified gothic style of calligraphy, using a 3 mm parallel pen. What could be more simple, yet remain somewhat majestic?
Watch me write the text in the video just below:

How many of you have noticed that, in the name of “improvement”, we sometimes make things more complicated than they really need to be? That is certainly true of many administrative tasks we have to do, of how we might plan our vacation and perhaps, too, of the overly-elaborate menus we come up with when having friends or family over for a meal. (I’m guilty!)
Getting back to basics can bring with it less stress, fewer headaches and improved well-being. Think about that the next time you order an ice cream cone. Try plain vanilla or ordinary chocolate … and remember what life was like when you were a kid!

We can apply the same sort of philosophy to calligraphy. To write something elegantly and majestically, there’s not always the need to add flourishes and swirls. Keeping it simple might do the job equally well.
And that’s where the beauty of simple gothic letters comes in. They’re simple, yet can convey a message with majesty. You can learn more about drawing these letters on this page.
